Whether it’s your first time trying on gowns or your final stop, here’s what you can expect when you book with us:
Getting Settled
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by one of our bridal stylists and escorted into one of our private fitting rooms. Here, you can store your belongings, catch your breath, and ease into the experience. We’ll offer refreshments while you relax. It’s your moment to soak everything in, after all, we’re about to find your dress!
Styling Consultation
Before diving into the gowns, you’ll sit down with one of our expert stylists for a relaxed yet focused chat. We’ll talk through your wedding day vision, venue, season, and personal style. You can share any inspo images you’ve saved, walk us through your Pinterest board, or simply describe the feeling you’re going for. We’ll also cover practical details like your budget, dress timeline, and any non-negotiables such as sleeves, silhouettes and custom options.

Browsing the Gallery
With your stylist and guests by your side, you’ll explore our eclectic gallery of international designers. We’ll introduce you to each and explain what makes them special, whether it’s their signature fabrications, customisation options, or made-to-measure approach. You’re welcome to touch, feel, and compare textures as we narrow down your vision.
First Selections
Together, we’ll select around 6 to 7 gowns that align with your vision and preferences. These first picks aren’t set in stone. They’re simply a starting point to help us explore shapes, fabrics, and design features that excite you. Once your selection is set, we’ll return to your private fitting suite to begin the fun part.
The Try-On Experience
Your stylist will help you into each gown with care and precision. Our boutique samples range from a standard bridal size 10-14 so we’ll make use of modesty panels, careful clipping, and layering techniques to help you visualise what the gown will look like in your size. You’ll get a clear sense of how each silhouette hugs your body, where the waist sits, how the train flows, and how the fabric feels against your skin.
Feedback and Refinement
As you try each gown, we encourage open conversation. Tell us what you love or don’t love about each one. Your guests are welcome to take photos and videos. We know how helpful that can be when reflecting later. Your stylist will be right there to guide you through what’s working and what might need adjusting. It’s a process of discovery, and we’re here for every part of it.
Accessories and Final Favourites
Once we’ve narrowed it down to one or two top picks, we’ll style them up with veils, headbands, earrings, and heels to help you visualise your complete bridal look. This is your chance to walk around the space, sit, move, and see how the dress feels in real life. We want you to feel confident, beautiful, and most importantly, comfortable.
Saying YES!
When you’ve found the one, it’s time to celebrate. We’ll pour you and your bridal party a drink and capture a few beautiful photos of this unforgettable moment. Signing the dress is a cherished tradition here at The Veil Collective, and one we absolutely adore.
Measurements and Order Details
Next, we’ll walk you through sizing, timelines, and any customisation options. We’ll take your measurements if you’re ready or book a separate appointment closer to your chosen designer’s cut-off. You’ll also receive a clear outline of what’s included with your gown and what to expect from here.

Finishing Up
Once everything is confirmed, we’ll process your order and provide a timeline for your gown’s arrival. You’ll leave knowing exactly when to expect updates, and when to come back for measurements and accessories if you didn’t finalise those on the day. And of course, before you go, we’ll snap a cute photo of you and your crew to commemorate the moment.
