Styled Shoot at Mondrian Gold Coast
Some shoots have an energy that’s hard to put into words, and this one at the newly unveiled Mondrian Gold Coast was exactly that and more. Golden light spilled across the sculptural architecture, with the calm Burleigh coastline just beyond the glass. Every moment on set felt intentionally slowed, creating a mood that shaped the entire story, with the signature Gold Coast sunny weather on display even during Queensland’s winter.
Taking centre stage was our muse, Sophia, effortlessly stepping into the role of the modern bride with a presence both powerful and poised. She wore Britania by House of St. Patrick, a signature gown in our collection renowned for its architectural structure, dramatic silhouette, and undeniable grandeur. With Lane stepping in as groom for the day, the pair created an effortless synergy between every element: the gown, the location, the styling, and every carefully considered detail. Together, they brought the entire vision to life with a sense of ease that made each frame feel intentional and inspired.
On set was Alyssa, one of the newest additions to The Veil Collective styling team. With her background as a wedding photographer, she brought a sharp, intuitive eye to the shoot, perfectly positioning, fluffing, and finessing Britania with precision to ensure it translated flawlessly on camera.
Opening its doors in June 2025, Mondrian Gold Coast is the newest name in luxury beachfront venues, and this editorial marked its first foray into weddings. We were incredibly proud to be hand-selected as one of the first vendors to dress and capture this stunning space, playing a part in such a memorable debut.
Shot by the exceptional House of Chapters, the imagery feels like a love letter to modern coastal romance. Some standout moments had us swooning, like the jaw-dropping eight-tier cake by Emily Bakes, which made its grand entrance wheeled around on a hotel cart just because it could. And Sophia’s bridal bouquet was totally reinvented as a chic coastal-inspired shell handbag, casually perched on her forearm for that perfect mix of beachy vibes and bridal glam.
This editorial brought together some of Queensland’s premier wedding suppliers, each one at the top of their game. From the creative direction and styling to florals, photography, cake design, and everything in between, it was a true celebration of local talent working in perfect harmony.
If you’re currently on your bridal journey, there’s a very good chance you’ve already seen these images making waves across socials over the past week and if you haven’t, well, where have you been?
